Too much apparently Pash !
If someone had bid £5k, they'd have had it. Would have liked more.
Obviously we're misreading the S1W market ....
I've just had exactly the same issue selling my Jeep 4.7 V8 on LPG .... 45 watchers no bidders .... I had it on nofeckinbidderbay twice .... first time with a reserve of £3000 ... someone bid £2999 with a day to go AND IT DIDN'T SELL , not even with the 2nd Chance thing .... so I relisted it ... didn't even get £2500 bid .... sold it for £2800 to a mate in the end.

Waste of space.

I anticipate a few " Well it didn't sell, how about ..... " emails now. They can fuck off.

if they want it bad enough, they'll pay what it's worth Martin, just depends how long you can hang onto it,,when you look around and see the plastic crap thats touted for that sort of money, it makes you weep for the moral sanity of society these days. I've a 15 y/o Suzuki I bought for Ange 4 years ago, I've tried flogging it a couple of times, (she ain't bothered with it anymore) and for what I've been offered for what is a cracking little bike, I've still got it, and using it as a commuter as the chavrover is off the road,,,as you so succinctly put,,"Fuck 'em !" :yup:

I'll keep it. If it had sold for a reasonable price, the money would have been useful, but I'm not giving it away.

Peeps are skint or being cautious with their dosh........I've never known anything like this in 12 years of spannering Buells, if things dont pick up soon, The Emporium will be closing its doors for good :(

I feel for you Maz. Times are obviously tough but UK Buelldom will be a worse place without the Emporium around ... fingers crossed that things pick up soon fella.

Just thinking out loaud - but YUP. It's a 10 (approx) year old bike - with near no dealer support. Only anybody truly dedicated to having a Buell tuber and (generally speaking) the ability to look after one is going to be interested imo. And let's face it they did not sell ALL THAT well new. Bikes loose all value until they become collectors items - This happens in about another 10 years or so.. My Guzzi is worth more than my Buell.

I'd love it, though - no really - I even like the colours better than a WL. (Down Maz!) - but at the end of it all it would be another toy. 5K sounds high to me - but that's simply my opinion.

Damn Maz - That sounds rough. Maybe you need to look at mail order again :ner: :couch: .

I think the people are skint and/or being careful with their dosh IS the reason they are not selling at the moment ...................but unless people are desperate to raise cash i'd say hang on to them until the market picks back up.

We MUST be heading out of the recession though because output at our factory is the highest it's been for about 15 years with an increase in output in the last couple of years of 85%...........................and this is in packaging so if we're selling that much people must be producing something to put into it ;)
And it's not just our plant.........the complete group is experiencing a big increase in output.
So hang on in there Maz................once confidence comes back people will start spending again.
Tis paying the ex off thats skint me not the recession lOl

I say, Mr Prozac, I'm glad you aren't desperate for the cash, because that means I can be happy you haven't sold it without appearing to gloat :P Anyway, at the moment we're in the process of selling our house in Holland. Once we've got the dosh in our mitts we'll be looking for a place back in good old blighty. Once that's all sorted I'll immediately be looking to buy a sorted S1, just like like yours. So, if you can hang on to it until the summer, I will undoubtedly take it off your hands :!: 8-) lOl

Oy Maz, the other alternative is for you to put your prices up. Buells started off being expensive exotica and, as they are no longer being produced or supported (apart from BB and Tubbs from what I can see), they are rapidly going to return to that state. If you are the only person in the country servicing a niche market, you can effectively charge what you want, or at least what you need to survive. You'd have to be ruthless about it though :P

You know where the bike is. I'll not be advertising it for the for foreseeable future.
It's safely ensconced in my garage.... I might be forced to tax and MOT it though :0/
