Years ago. Still cabbying?

Hello! :D
(sorry, missed that post for a minute, you musta posted it while I was writing one!)

Blimey, curry, where was that again?? Yeah, must be a few years
When did we go for that ride out to Motex in Worcester?? I think the last time I saw you was when you led the way to RAF Cosford one year :) At least you let people keep up that time lOl

Yep, still cabbying I'm afraid... The cab trade is in a terrible mess tho... I'm thinking of writing a book about how stupid bureaucracy can completely f- things up, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff that goes on... Or you probably would, most people would these days...

So how are you? And what's this, trying to sell the S1? :?

Just wondering who pays for the storage of the bike, whether it comes off the amount issued to you as settlement or the insurance covers it :?:

Insurance company will pick up the storage tab until you notify them you want to retain the salvage. Then you best get it moved pronto.

I hesitate to suggest it for fear of being pitchforked to death.. But it would make a cheap ready made chop donor for somebody. Hope you get everything sorted with the insurance company.

I'm now off to hide :couch:

is wanting to retain salvage going to affect how much they will offer?
obviously they will take the salavage amount out of the total before sending a cheque....
i just get the feeling they wanted me to say yes to salvaging the bike.

they will normally offer you 2 payout options
one with total loss just money
an one with loss ,minus the salvage value of the bike

Use dealer adverts to get the value of the bike. They are higher.

and :yt:

AFAIK, the minute the deal is done and the salvage is yours, the insurance company is no longer responsible for further storage costs

cheers guys - kind of explains why they were so keen to find out if i wanted the salvage or not from the outset... to avoid extra storage costs with the garage!
