Is it the special edition Caveat Emptor model?

I have a customer looking to sell a "project" one :( He posted on here at one time as "Hawk", loved his 06 56 XB9SX and doted on it, polished regularly, regular oil changes and application of accessories. Sadly now the big end bearings have failed when it is two years out of warranty and has no dealer service history. An economical write off if we were to repair it but a bargain for someone prepared to put the time and expertise into it. A mere £1500 is all he wants for it. PM me if you are interested :)

Steve

Sticking my neck out but you lot confuse me sometimes.

Traders who use forums time and time again as a quick and free way to peddle their wares is one thing - takes the piss.

People who hunt out what they think is the best place to sell a particular thing is another, surely. This is a Buell enthusiast site after all so I don't see why one-offs like this are such a problem? Seems to me like it would be the perfect place to put an ad - right where people who would be looking for a Buell would look, thus attracting more members (assuming that is what you want).

Why is it that some people join up just to sell their bike? Why don't they join up when they buy it instead?
The idea is to put something in, before taking something out. Same as anywhere else.

I remember him, very nice chap who joined us on a few rides. Shame about his bike :(

hey hey

i'm sorry some members have taken offence to me listing my bike for sale on this forum.i have to sell the bike and my first thought was to offer it to people who appreciate what buell is about.i will make a donation to the forum when the bike sells and do not wish to appear opportunistic.

thanks
