porsche 996 gt3 rs and the 997
a track day car with one problem as standard they are 104db@5000rpm
this is the solution we use at work, not pretty but does the job more or less
we did a sneaky test with this one as the boss wanted it to be 98db, we put two long pices of tube in the tailpipes and measured the engine noise at the position the exhaust would be measured at a trackday, result= the engine alone is 102db@5000rpm so its a losing battle with this car :(
similar applies to the 1125, a lot of engine noise as well as exhaustImage

Is that clackety clackety noise or induction roar? We quieten the induction noise on our engines with a silencer ring.

i have now finished some new larger dia headers for the xb and i'm still working on some 1125 silencers, i will be doing more dyno tests soon
a new dyno place has just opened up on the industrial estate where i work so it should be easier to do back to back tests :)

i finished one of these beasts today, double skinned stainless and chambered, so not the lightest thing at 6.3kg but should last forever, should be 104db@5k, i have one on my bike now and will get it noise tested and dynoed asap

It looks like a Talk Hammer, so should be good for 150+bhp

That looks really good, a candidate for my CR methinks. :)

That looks very nice and won't leave an empty look below the 1125r. Would love to see it on the bike :-)
