I got the same confirmation about "lack of application" last week... just shows you can't always believe what you're told - even when from someone you know. Gossip, what a tribulation!

Psycho.

The 'lack of application', although a fact, is only half of the story.
But what of these thinly veiled threats;
"....make it very very hard to even get into Pompy on a bike on said evening..." ...Blackrag?
...and;
"...it's going to be an interesting evening not to be missed..." ...Psycho?
Spill.

Apparently.....
...Portsmouth Bike Night IS going ahead tomorrow. An application to use the carpark has been received (albeit not from the previous 'organisers'), and permission has subequently been granted by PCC.
See you there....if we can get through the roadblocks :ner:

I don't know any (many) of you by sight, so give me a wave/shout to let yourselves be known and I'll come over for a chat. :worthy:
I'm on a 2000 X1 in red stripe rivalry - original I think.

Sincere apologies to anyone who went to Southsea on my say-so last night... it's now quite clear that this event is not 'happening'....despite the 50? or so hopeful bikers that came and went, with no chuck-wagons on site there's little point in hanging around for too long ...especially when 'Micks' is only 10 minutes away on the top of the hill....

It would appear that whoever wanted to sabotage/prevent this popular and pleasant event from continuing has done a good job. :clap:

So is it worth going over tonight?
On the Eagle riders web site all it says is:

"Unfortunately the Eagle Riders will not be

organizing or running the Pompey Bike Night for 2011

We apologize for any inconvenience"

But on the Portsmouth whats on site it says it is an officail event and held the first Wednesday of each month.
