At the risk of invoking the wrath of Maz.......

Just why is the Blast such a POS?
Seriously interested, honest.

Did own an X1 briefly, but I was always on tip-toe ( yes I know I'm a short-arse )
Sat on an M2 and that was just as bad.

Was considering an XBScg-low thingy but the XB's also seem to be an "unloved" model, so what do I consider???

Any sensible suggestions please ;)

I have both an Scg and a Blast. I love both for different reasons, but, if I am being totally honest, I ride the XB more. The Blast kept me riding when I was seriously going to give up, due to being vertically challenged, and lacking choice of bikes that I wanted to ride. I will never get rid of the Blast as it means a lot to me, plus is also a rare bike (less than 50) in the UK.

I will continue to ride both, as I love Buells.

at a guess it's a single cylinder , with about 32 hp

I think it is a basic bike, and as such doesn't appeal to those who like bling and technology. As a first/basic/learner bike it is good, as it is gentle to speed, but still has a reasonable rate of speed...mine has been to 90+, so not totally boring. Lots of torque and kind to beginners. Very reminiscent of british bikes, is good fun and user friendly. I love quirky bikes and the Blast is certainly one of these. Has given me the confidence to ride the XB12Scg and I love riding my bikes.... all is good. :yup:

I went to a meet with someone on a blast, what a fuckin painfully slow ride-I was close to suicide-then I remembered I could overtake :!:

Not really laughing at the Blast. It's kind of quirky and had it's own kind of logic even if it did 'begat' the XB. I will never sell my SRX400 (32.8bhp) if maybe only 25 gee gees at the wheel! 8-)
