Manchester H-D is no more :(

I would like to send my best wishes to all the staff and thank them for the friendship and excellent service over the years.

:sad1:

Ouch. Sad for all the good peeps.

Sorry to see HD failing. I really am. What a colossal cock-up from "corporate."

A great shame, they were a bloody good Dealer. Best wishes to all the staff, especially Dave, whose was a proper 'old school' partsman and would go the extra mile to get customers what they needed in double quick time.

I have never used Manchester HD but appreciate how well thought of they were and am sorry to hear the news. :sad1: Good luck to all the obviously committed staff.

I don't think that HD are failing generally?

They seem to be thriving around here.

HD are surviving because they are screwing their dealers as well as their customers !

My personal opinion of course, and not that of UKBeg.

........I'm no businessman, but how long will this go on for? They are on borrowed time imnsho, rapidly heading back to the AMC days, led by Wandell (who's main passion is Golf  - so I believe)

Anyone fancy a Ping/Spalding badass Lowrider?

MV must be spilling their Expressos laughing so hard  That must've been the daftest business decision of the decade

It's a shame when this happens, my thoughts are with the employees...

Support your local HDB dealer and if you don't have one or don't want to, support Black Bear...

Very sad for the folks that worked there :(
I think a lot of dealer problems come from cargroups setting up with bikes when things were good but just don't understand motorcycling or motorcyclists....... the better dealers are nearly always owned and run by motorcyclists themselves.

A Pink Balding Fat Arse Low rider. - Sounds about standard for an H/D customer.

Manchester was the UK's largest H-D dealership and that was their downfall..... the building is huge (+2 storeys) and located in a very expensive area ie. in the present climate, they just couldn't generate enough revenue to cover the vast overheads.
