Well the weather was appalling but it still was a great day and so good to see the folk that had braved the wet to get there. The smiles certainly werent dampened. It's just a shame that the turn out was thinner on the ground than it could have been. However the Dutch contingent certainly seemed to be having a great time and had huge grins plastered on their faces all day. 8-)

Great to see everybody yesterday. Really enjoyed the day despite the weather and it was a good test for my 'waterproof' pieces of kit. :D

I think we can safely say, without fear of contradiction, yesterday was the wettest ever Em's Day.

We can't thank you enough for turning out on such a miserable day :worthy:...

Whether on two wheels or four, UKBEG members never cease to amaze us with their commitment and dedication to this event. We thought we'd be lucky to reach double figures but you did us (and Emma) proud with a magnificent display of 24 (rather soggy) Buell motorcycles.

To have 4 Buells from the Netherlands was extra special and we must thank Duc and his friends for coming over. We're just sorry that Friday's good weather didn't last over the weekend.

For the record there was also 1 Ducati, 1 KTM, 2 Cagiva Raptors, 1 Moto Guzzi, 1 Laverda and 1 Yamaha.

The event raised £157 for Em's Charity - a decent amount considering the numbers present.

Despite the weather we still had a great weekend in Lincolnshire, with the Red Lion once again providing excellent hospitality and good food. It didn't rain all the time in the East Kirkby area - just while the event was taking place, thanks a lot Emma! :4roz:...

The Buell line-up took place after a few had already left but we still put on a good show with the Lancaster.....

For the first time ever at Em's Day we had 4 Dutch registered Buells in the line-up :worthy:...

Jane took these pictures of Frankie's XT this morning, prior to leaving the Red Lion. His mascot lost his underpants somewhere on the A1....

I dont know which one of us was more crabbit, the wee fecker got his nether regions sunburnt on Thursday and Friday, crushed on Saturday night and well washed on Saturday and Sunday (told him to keep his under decker knacker jackers on). Mind you the wee bugger needed a good wash anyway.

Rode most of the way to Stranraer in the pissing rain, think Billy pissed on my back any time the rain stopped

Did a total of 850 very enjoyable miles home to home despite the weather and the thunder flies, the Buell wets did an excellent job of keeping me dry. Got home around 9.15 after doing a detour to get Flo a ping pong.

Was good to meet some old friends and meet new faces and hopefully I'll meet up with some of you at D4.

Finally a big thankyou to Chris and Jane for organisng a fantastic week end

Just a line to say a thanks you to Jane & Chris for the organising of the event as always, and to Kev for his parking expertise in extreme conditions!. ;)
I've not ridden in so much rain since I was a youth when I had no option! lOl
Gears still drying out now. ;)
Had a great time, inspite of the weather, thanks to Buellinben for his company during the ride up, it was one to remember. :yup:
Was great to catch up with everyone, peeps I knew and those I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting.
As for the Lancaster, what can I say, gets me everytime, I could never tire of seeing/hearing her. :worthy:

Oh, and the ride home was in wonderful sunshine! :sun:

We made it home safely (only one flat tire for Sieto  ) This was the wettest ride out we've ever had, about 1000km rain but 600 dry :D CJ thanks for the organisation and booking our place to sleep, Att thanks for the laughs. Hopefully doing it again some time! Gr. William.

I really enjoyed the weekend despite the weather. I met lots of friendly people and just had a good time.
It was a long walk from the campsite to the Red Lion but it was worth it: good beer and good company. :)

And I'd never visited this part of the country so it was a perfect occasion to stop a few times on the way back (I really liked Lincoln). It didn't rain too much on Sunday. I could have done without the indicator connector getting lose but I fixed it easily after buying the last set of hex keys at a local Tesco.

First time at a UKBEG event but it won't be the last...

Had a really good weekend. On the train on my way home.
Sorry for not bringing the bike but it was financial reasons rather than the weather that forced that decision.
Hope to see a lot of you again for d4 in a few weeks time.

A big thank you to chris and jane as usual.

Thanks for all the kind words - we hope you've all dried out by now :D....

This years rain soaked event has proved there's still enough interest in Em's Day to continue with it. I've asked the Aviation Centre if we can pre-book a Saturday in July 2012 - I should have an answer this week. This will give you plenty of time to buy some new waterproofs and seal those Buell motorcycle electrics :D...

Although it rained like it had never rained before the day was eventful, boots ringing wet gloves ringing wet slight wetness on my belly but otherwise dry! Thanks to Att and his wife for a nice cup of tea and chat would really have liked a hot bath and a few beers but had to wait till i got home. Great ride home no rain, look forward to next meet. Thanks again to all.........
