I have ordered an rrsend universal bracket and will be fitting it in the next couple of days to my CR, I'm almost 100% sure that the prob I'm gonna have is with the numberplate light. can anyone advise where I can get a single/double Led that I can mount in replacement to keep me legal?

No "Front tidy" jokes please, I have heard them all already!

Not sure what you want, but Maplins do strips of LEDs that work with 12V. They are soldered into a flexible PCB and you can cut the strip to the length you want, then it is just a case of soldering on some wires and sticking the strip (yes it is self adhesive) to the bottom of the tail light.

It looks crap when unlit, but it's bright and may do the job for you, and only a couple of quid.

Get down to Maplins and check them out...

Am I going to have any voltage issues etc? as you probably guessed I'm not an Electrician!

Motrax do them, available from bike shops, or try Ebay, there are loads of different types on there.

All done now except for the plate light, see below;

I did have to "Modify" the "Universal" bracket a little with a file but the rest was very easy to do.

I've got one of those Motrax brackets on my TRX - it came with the bike.
I strongly suspect it's a bit under engineered to withstand the vibes of a Buell. However, I may be wrong and hope I am but I'd be tempted to weld some triangulation brackets onto it.

I'd like to think that I'm one step ahead of you on that one, all screws have loctite on them and the water cooled Buells don't have a vibration issue IMO.

Yep, thought you were talking about an air cooled Buell. You should be ok with a kettle 8-)

Why not fit the earlier XBR rear light, this has got the n.plate light built in and looking at the CR it should fit straight on.

There's a thought, anyone out there that can confirm this'll work/fit?

Ok Jonnyboy , your CR uses the same tailight and lens (Y0401.1AD) as the XB lightning which itself has a seperate n.plate light.
The firebolt uses the same lens but the rear light is Y0401.02A8, which would be right because it has the clear section in the middle. ;)
Customizing made easy :lol: 8-)
