Best disc cleaner is decent brake pads - I had that problem, sorted with a set of Braking brake pads :P

For degreasing Würth brake cleaner does it's job IMO:

Well I've currently got Goldfrens in, and compared to the "Braking" brake pads, they come pretty close lOl

So in the absence of proper brake cleaner - I recommend Acetone then Alcohol.

Beats glue!. Works well for cleaning things too.
