If it's an optimate type connector (as fitted to most bikes by the dealer) then you can get the connector from Maplins, depending on if you want male of female -

Should it be the connector as fitted in the wiring loom on 2010 models it is a different connector and is one of these -

Yes I think it would be cheaper to replace the CR

The bike comes with one of those Harley type connectors, Shaws also fit the Optimate type to all new bikes when sold which is nice

All sorted now gents, amazing what you can do with a bit of kitchen foil and some chewing gum!

My (15 year old) Optimate had a shagged connector, so I just cut it off and crimped on a male and female shielded spade connector. Did the same on the bike lead. Job's a good 'un.

I started out with nothing and still got most of it left.

I've bypassed the optimate thing too and just plugged it straight into the mains.
