Sorry, I thought that's what you were doing with the "cash it again" comment, I was just pointing out that cashing it again wouldn't be possible.

Chris, rather than copy it, get it onto a decent scanner would ya. 8-)

I'm going to photocopy the cheque before it's presented to the bank.

CJ, I'm assuming here but maybe you could have a momento or auction it as a momento etc.

Nate.

Just about the first thing I read on this site was Maz going on about new HDs with choc cams/bearings and it scared me some as I was looking to buy a (HD engine) Buell. I looked at the build/spec of the XB12X, the possible problems and I did not think any of these things could not be sorted with a few mods.

As it is I find my bike, XB12X with a few mods, to be the best bike I have ever had and I have had a few good bikes in the past.

The statement.

Is just not true or fair.

If you do not want to work on XBs, mail parts, answer your phone or just get out of your pram, because no one is feeding your ego, then just stick to tubers. I, for one, do not care.

On the other hand if it is all just banter then that is fine, Dude.

TFD, I can only speak as I find......I work mainly on the XB series these days and it sickens me, as a Buell enthusiast, to see the same old recurring faults over and over on a daily basis.
I have no axe to grind re. tubers/fuellers and my ego has nowt to do with anything, I just feel really let down by Buell (Erik) when my daily work load is plagued by sorting well know issues time and time again :x
The factory must be aware of these weakness's and yet they do nothing to address them......XB series is truely Buells disposeable range based on pure economics :(

It's not just Buells, today we seem to be living in a throwaway world - even with all the fuss going on about saving the planet ...

Maz is spot on in his last post, I feel very let down to.
It was a fantastic fun bike to ride and in many ways I still miss it but the way the things are put together I don't know how they sleep at night over there I really don't!

In my perfect world they would sort that gearbox out and make sure it lubed it self proper.
Sort the front engine mount which is all wrong.
Put some proper discs on the front.
Put some proper bearings on the wheels, swinger, headstock and all around the crank.
Make all the exhaust system from stainless.
Rubber mount the tank/airbox cover.
Put the wiring in armour instead of wrapping it up in someones old T shirt.
And fit a bloody chain! :old:

Ok I'm done bye :uhoh:

There is no excuse for not rectifing known faults,"character" is no excuse for lack of investment in a product.why should anyone buy a bike then spend stupid amounts to make it a usuable product.i've got a tuber and have spent to much money on preventative replacement of parts,it's wrong, fact

Cool, very cool, and right. It is not a perfect world though.

To be honest my post was a "back-handed" dig of your "Right-thats-it" thread. Your tech advise is of great help to all and is one of the things that makes this site what it is. On the other hand let us pay, if we want, for a parts/other service. I, for one, would if I wanted to.
