It is possible to set up a security code which has to be entered within 4 mins of switching off the engine. I set it up about 18 months ago and have rairly used it since cos it was actually a pain to enter. Cant remember the pass code anymore and now I want to disable it to help battery life( Every little helps!). Cant remember the code I set up so I look through the manual and it says take it to the dealer. So I took it to Riders who would be delighted to help as they felt the only way is to sell me a new cluster. Surely there must be another way.

Hi Huge2170,

I hate to say it, but I'm unaware of anyway to retrieve the code. Digi-tech is unable to read that information, so I can understand their suggestion :(
I realise it's to late in your case bud, but it's always a good idea to write this stuff down in the handbook. There is a section in the book for this info to be filled in

Perhaps as you set the code, you must have a thought as to your thinking process when you set it, give it some time, perhaps it will suddenly come back to you in a flash, I hope so.

Sorry i can't help more than that. :(

Unless Theft Mode is turned on, I'm not sure that it actually affects the battery life at all. If theft mode is off, you can't turn it back on without the pin.

As for the number, have you tried your credit/debit card pin number? wife's birthday? date you bought the bike? last 4 digits of a telephone number? 1125?
