I've always found that Ducati owners, along with Porsche owners, are largely tossers

I thought much the same until 10 yrs ago when I had my first one, and joined the DSC - only 70 or 80% of them are tossers, some are really nice blokes. lOl

How's yours going, Doug? lOl

Awesome bit of kit for sure, simply awesome. And it took me through the Balkans and Bosnia (do no go there, ever) in the summer superbly. but it leaves me colder than cold, so it will be up for sale in the Spring most likely.

Tragic really as it is probably better than they all say, but I just don't gell with it. I'd love to think that I will take it for a blast in Spring and find its hidden beauty, but give than I haven't felt like riding it really since getting back from the trip, it looks like I will have just burned a load of cash and learnt a lesson about what I enjoy in my bikes.

Insane really, as it is sooooo good, just too good for me to really enjoy. Rode some awesome roads in Slovenia and Croatia, but the most enjoyable bit of the trip was actually the ride home in the UK in the most filthy weather. Seems I like adversity more than simply riding along, which might explain the long relationship with the S1...

I could spit really, but that's life, or so it seems. Maybe spring will surprise me, I just don't think so.
