Of course it's not. Only singular events, that's why they upgraded to the BeCu part ...

im not letting this thing put me off buell, if it was a bmw we would be talking about engine computer system controling the valve cap on the tyres,iv come across very few engines at some piont become a pain in the ass (more so now computers are involved) its all down to how easy they are to fix.

Found this procedure on changing the gear on a tuber.
http://www.buellpower.de/anleitungen/oepr-wechsel.pdf
So on the XB is engine rotation enough ? or does the engine need to come out to get access to the rocker covers?

IMO flushing the swingarm isn't sufficient. I got told to degrease the oil tank and to search it carefully with a small magnet. Maybe those small magnetic balls might be an option too. There also a small sump left below the crankshaft, flushed through a small bore closed by a plug, no. 27 as shown below. Be carefull when remounting the plug, IIRC there's no stop for it.

from first glance:
oil pump gasket 26495-89B
exhaust port gaskets 65324-83A
intake manifold gaskets 26995-86B
cylinder base gaskets 16774-86D
pushrod cover base gasket 17608-00 & 17649-02

There are also gasket kits available (I would recommend getting one of those, as from my experience there's always a gasket missing in the end):

engine overhaul 17058-02B

top overhaul 17059-02A
rocker covers 17036-91

That's a good find. Very interesting. My dutch isn't very well, do I get it correctly, that pre-loading the cylinders for honing isn't going to work as expected?
