If it were me I fit a new PAIR of callipers and discs. I'm sure others can chime in and explain WHY you should fit matched pairs - to me it just seems right.

I fitted Brembo. But there are all sorts of others.

Cosmetically it would definitely be better to fit a matched pair .........but would it really matter to have two different discs and calipers? ................. after all ...you can't get any more unevenly matched braking force on a wheel than just having a single disc one side ;)

Hi Milky, can't help you with a Nissin caliper, but if you where going to change both, I realy rate AP stuff.
http://www.apracing.com/info/products.a ... _2543_1091
If you're interested, Pm me and I can put you in touch with someone who can sort you out with discs, bells, calipers, and mountings.
Off the top of my head, they charged me less than £100 + VAT each for bells, which included hard anodizing (They weigh less than 500g each!) and about the same for ENP plated mounting brackets for radial mount calipers. All done in billet of course.
They've done some nice stuff for me last year, so I can recomend them first hand.
They do quite a bit for the historic F1, and Moto GP boys, and actualy make stuff for AP, so know what they're doing.

Cheers,
Mick. :)

Oooh! No idea mate! Probably not as expensive as you'd think though.

Although I paid £1,200 each, for my car ones last year! And that was cost :ill:

Nothing too exotic. It's a caterham, but it's been my project for the last 4 years, and will probably run on for another 4.
I tried to upload a Picture, but the site wouldn't have it.
The reason I've upgraded the stoppers a bit, is becuase I'm planning on fitting a tiny 2.8 liter V8 which uses two Hayabusa top ends on a billet crancase. 90kg dressed.
It should put out around 400hp with some headwork and cams. The car will weigh around 500kg.
I may as well put a link to brake Guys I mentioned.
If you look at "Fine and rare/interesting assignments" you'll see my car on thier site.
http://www.bgdevelopments.co.uk/fine-an ... ments.html
Although it's moved on a bit since the picture was taken. It's almost rolling now.
I'll be going back to U.K. at the end of January, for the guys to make up the stuff for the rear brakes.
If you drop them a line, they'll be happy to quote you prices on the AP products.

I have no commercial connection, just a very happy customer, and I like to see Britain still has good engineering skills.
