Just fitted dinky led indicators to my 04 xb9s. They work a treat only they double time. This is because they dont draw enough current from relay so relay tells me a bulb has blown. Any-body recomend a relay unit to replace. I have seen some on ebay ect but someone must have been down this route ?

Just posted some led indicators in for sale section and they come with resistors which solve that problem.

Try this link, have a read through, seems to work on 3 different layouts. Probablly all have the same chip. Worked on my '09 xb12ss.
Cheers, Richard.

Just for the sake of completeness, flasher chip datasheet can be viewed here: http://www.atmel.com/Images/doc4727.pdf

I found another modification, a resistor replaced to make the relay work with LED without losing it's capability to signal a failed indicator:

Replace the marked one by a 0.1 ohms, 2 w resistor - never tried it myself, so YMMV.
