Contacted Pretech and they make a caliper thats almost identical to the nissin for £250 + vat and can use a second buell disc or EBC discs, looking to use a brembo master cylinder ,which I'll take off my Tuono and try. Love the AP calipers.. Mechanical porn ! !

I have one of those calipers as a back brake. Don't really think about it other than it is a bit strong for a rear brake. Should really get rid of it as it is too big and heavy for a rear brake.

When I did the twin discs on my X1, I also went to a larger bore master cylinder. Braking wasn't really any better without it. It was either a 13/16" or 7/8". Can't remember that far back.

The only reason I can see keeping the stock master cylinder is for less pressure on each disc which would solve the problem of warping they're known for.

:yt: The problem with Tuber front discs was the wear between the bobbins and the carrier, especially with the earlier bolt-up, 6-bobbin ones. They'd rattle their heads off at tick-over but I've not known them to warp.
Warping has nothing to do with pad 'pressure' and everything to do with uneven heating/cooling (eg holding the brakes on on a stationary hot disc) or poor design not allowing natural expansion/contraction.
