Scratch that itch - you could do worse than get all passionate about Mandello's finest. But be warned, they will get under your skin, much the same as Buells do. From where we sit, being a Buell enthusiast and a Guzzi enthusiast go hand in hand and both brands compliment each other nicely.
Our experience of both marques has been wholly positive and we can't envisage owning any other makes of motorcycle. We can recommend both Buell and Moto Guzzi ownership.
To date, reliability of our Guzzis has been excellent. Jane has covered a total of 103,600 miles on her 'small-block' Nevada and Breva 750's, and I've covered a total of 98,000 miles on my V11 Sport and Breva 1100.
September 2004 - Mandello del Lario. Our first Guzzis, a Nevada 750 and V11 Sport:
Our current Guzzis, a Breva 750 and 1100, 64,600 miles and 45,000 miles respectively:
If you choose a modern Guzzi, the latest design of 2 valve or 4 valve, 1100 or 1200cc engine and transmission has proved very reliable....
If you go for any of the older Guzzis there's plenty of choice available and good parts inter-changeability between the different models. The possibilities are endless - ride or restore an original or create something special such as these.....
We can recommend the following Guzzi specialists:
