Well done, Woody :yup: The date is set in stone and have a pub in mind just a few miles away with ample space, used to coping with bikers and who can probably lay on a band as well. Watch this space :D

If you can get ua a place to sleep (we will pay for it), that would be great!

Thanks in advance, keep us posted. PM @ tosseram (at) gmail.com.

Arranged Mojomick's "pub with a field" on Saturday :) The Cherry Tree at Soham http://www.cherrytree-soham.co.uk is 8 miles from the showroom - a ten minute ride. It's a reasonable pub with a big field at the back and they're used to hosting biker events.

Obviously beer and food readily available, ample space for camping and they would make no charge for this......only stipulation is that we don't bring our own booze......fair's fair :D They don't have outside toilets so if we are going to stop there I'll need to order a portaloo to spare the dignity of those who don't want to pee in hedges. Didn't check with them about breakfast but, if they're not able to cater for us, I can organise a catering wagon to show up early on Sunday morning.

If everyone's happy with the idea I see the weekend going something like this:-

Saturday 7 April. Black Bear open as usual from 0900-1730, burgers provided by us being cooked and served by CJ and JJ from 1100-1500 or sooner if you're really greedy. A "Best Buell" competition with trophies to be awarded at 1600.

1600-1700, make your way to The Cherry Tree to pitch tents and get the beers in. A night of revelry to follow 8-)

Sunday morning - breakfast, take tents down and load bikes up. Leave around 1000. Half hour ride to Travelodge where CJ and Woody are booked in to. From there a ride via country roads to the outskirts of London then round the North Circular to the Ace Cafe. Should arrive there around 1130. Their website http://www.ace-cafe-london.com currently shows this as a "BSA, Norton and Classic Bike Day."

The following day, Easter Monday, is the Ace Cafe Southend Shakedown Run for those who want to really overload. Run is scheduled to leave the cafe at 1030.

I am happy to sort everything in the Newmarket area and think the camping could work out really well for a load of us but obviously we have experienced varied weather on the Easter weekend over the past few years. Anything from snow to hot sunshine. Feeling good about sunshine this year though :sun: Let me know how many of you are up for this option because I don't want to mess the pub about if there are no takers.

Only eight weeks to go.....let's party 8-)

Steve

I've a family room booked at the Travel lodge, theres a bed if anyone requires it...cross my palm with silver it could be yours if its snowing or raining or the fens have flooded again...All of the above we've encountered on the way to BB at Easter, although last year it was cracking flags :sun: bring it on......

Stay lucky Woody..
