We've received the formal invitation to attend Silverstone Moto GP, WSB and BSB through the Bike Clubs scheme.

Silverstone are handling things slightly different this year, we now have to deal direct with their events office rather than through a third party. We can now get an answer by return during office hours.

For 2012 Silverstone originally stated that each club had to apply for a minimum of 25 tickets for each event to qualify for the discounts etc. I've managed to get this down to 10 tickets per event but I think we'll struggle even at that modest figure.

Any road up, the point of all this waffle is to gauge the level of interest and ask UKBEG members if they would like to attend any of these events under the Bike Clubs scheme:

Moto GP, 15th to 17th June
Club advance price = £76.00 (Valid for Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Public advance price = £76.00
On the gate price = £95.00

WSB, 3rd to 5th August
Club advance price = £20.00 (Valid for Saturday and Sunday)
Public advance price = £40.00
On the gate price = £75.00.

BSB, 28th to 30th September
Club advance price = £14.40 (Valid for Saturday and Sunday)
Public advance price = £28.80
On the gate price = £50.00

Highlights of the Bike Club scheme:
Free club stands for invited clubs - Moto GP, WSB and BSB.
Infield Centre Passes for club bikes - Moto GP, WSB and BSB.
Roving grandstand seating - WSB and BSB.
Unrestricted paddock access - BSB.

Note: there's no mention of free track time for club bikes but if it's offered I think this will only occur at the BSB event.

I doubt we would be going to the MotoGP this year, but will more than likely attend for the WSB and BSB.

It is always a great social event which you can make into your own party, especially with good friends. :yup:

Do you think MotoGP value for money, seeing as there are only about 15 MotoGP riders and only 4 or 5 races in total?? :? I think the WSB and BSB are much more fun to watch and gives an action packed weekend as compared to MotoGP.

Maybe I'm just tightfisted...... :sad1: lOl

I hope to be with you for moto gp and may well have two others from the world of Ducati Chris - is that permissable? By the way it's Rachel here - I used to have the city x and hopefully in a few days it's a Uly that will have my name on it or else my new screen name is a waste of time!!!

So hopefully three for Mott gp and BSB all being well later in the year...

Dave and Rachel (welcome back :4roz:) your interest is noted and I can't see Ducatis being a problem.

All, thanks for the response.

Based on the numbers we have for each event I'll contact Silverstone next week and see if we can still take advantage of their Bike Clubs scheme.
