I'm not convinced that the front hanger is as good as the late inverted Y type as fitted by Buell.

I live in the sun! But haven't got my bike here.
Weather here's been unbelievable for Jan. 18 degrees and sunny!
I posted about this a couple of weeks back. I'm waiting for them to get it eu homoligated. I'll be the first in the queue when they do!
Should get to see my bike for the first time next week.

Oh dear! That sprung mount kinda makes you question the rest of their products.

.....at least it appears they will be selling spare parts for the rear mount . Perhaps it should come with a stud extractor too.

It doesn't look anywhere near as good or as strong as the race kit can and i'm still not convinced with the mounting arrangement .........how long before it breaks the studs at the head ? or cracks the headers ....think about it ..the full exhaust and engine need to move as a unit with just enough damping in the mountings to absorb vibration to prevent cracking. With the front mounting literally hanging on springs the only thing preventing the exhaust from trying to swing back and forward is the header studs, the rear mount will not prevent this as the two plates can swing in that plane .
I may be proved wrong but think you need a more ridged mounting system like the race kit with Y front hanger preventing back and forth movement but with a Maz style stronger mount than the original shoes that were prone to break where they clamped around the header.

I would be very surprised if it gets an E mark cos it is a straight through muffler, so 105dB plus...

I volunteered to assist them and even promised to take it to Daytona, Mid Ohio Vintage days, Buell Homecoming and the US Moto GP so people could see it. They were very nice in their rejection of my offer. It's just like being back in High School.

Personally, I would have a proper bracket welded to the elbow and use the Buell 'Y' hanger.

I thought that about the hanger too. Putting all the weight on the headers.
But I'm only interested in the can. If you look at the video of them testing it on another bike, it sounds pretty quiet to me. I doubt it's anywhere near 105 db.
My last Caterham 7 was around 100db and it doesn't sound as noisey as that.

I see Wilyco make a homologated can, but they are Italian, and true to form don't answer e-mails.

You may be right, but you are relying on info from a microphone and a PC speaker.

I am sure TM have some super technology that sucks up noise from a perforated straight through pipe.

My Vance and Hines on my X1 has a perforated 2" pipe wrapped in Acoustafil inside an aluminium can. The aluminium can will absorb some of the nose due to its compliance, however it is far louder than my Ti Force on my Firebolt, which has a cheeky double exit to split the sound into two, and measured 105dB at Castle Combe (too loud to play).
