Suffering from "short fat hairy legs" syndrome, I am finding it difficult to paddle the machine out of parking situations. I bought a Corbin Gunslinger low profile saddle which bought me about an inch and I have boots (HD product) which, while not putting Elton John to shame, have the thickest soles and heels I could find. I still need that extra inch. Can anyone offer advice on this. Grateful as always, Kevan

Have you considered trading across to an XT?

if your happy with all all other aspects of uly
then might just be just a case of forward planning looking for a better parking space with easy direct exit , or walk at side of bike until clear exit . i'm 6ft 6 tall and at times it is easier to walk the bike to were you want to go rather than paddle .

Extract from Harley (Fatboy) owners manual

Step 1 - buy pie

Step 2 - eat pie

Repeat steps 1 & 2 until suspension reaches the desired level

Never tried one, so cannot comment on its quality etc, but for the rear shock there is this -

i had a wilbers shock with all the bells and whistles built to order - this achieved a 45mm seat height reduction which was perfect for my 5'8". couldnt find another way of dropping it more than 25mm which you can get from the little ring thingies.

cost a bit though !

I had that - never fit it though (sold it to Shuggito) - you'll need to buy some shock absorber spring compressors to fit it which I have, will never otherwise use and would happily sell on to you if you need/want them.

Ooooor.... do the Bomber conversion!

 it'll buy you another inch and looks cool too 8-) http://www.ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9621
