All this guesswork with how much X1s are worth is all well and good but the reality of it is just how much somebody is prepared to pay for it at the time,i bought mine in june 2006 for £4000,i spent nearly £2000 on it to get it to the std everbody on this forum suggests X1 should be,when i needed to sell it the only offer i got was £2500 from a guy who i know, and seeing as i needed to sell it quickly i took his offer,i looked on ebay last week and there were three up for sale at or around £3000,how many were sold ?,to say all this leaves me dissapointed is to say the least.
Good Luck to you all,i am about to order a brand new triumph speed triple

Why did you need to sell it quickly, if the money is only for another bike?

If you're disappointed now, wait until you see what your '09 Speed Triple is worth in 3 years time. ;)

If it's any consolation my XB12S has a resale value of 0 quid. Nowt, nothing nada, feck all etc etc. There is zero demand here for a 2nd hand Buell (not a lot more for a new one really) Can't even part ex it at the HD shop :P

I've lost count of the times I've said this, but if you buy a Buell as an investment, you've completely missed the point.

OK, it's eight. 8-)

Thats obviously not correct Bonzo. many of us have more than one and I can envisage myself having a few. I'm seriously in the market for a '07 uly with maximum stuff added for about £4K. But thw X1 WL was tempting. Fek :!: I can't believe it went for £2.5K

I was dissapointed in the lack of interest, not what i got for it,i took his offer of £2500 for a quick sale, the dealer offered £2300 in p/x, it would seem you all missed a bargin,i admit i had expected to sell it for around £3500 as i had asked for in the post, maybe if i had waited i may have got more, the point is its sold and i have the cash to move on
Cheers

I suppose Bonzo means that XBS's are the least desirable and hard to sell of all the Buells - but having 'no value' can't be right.

I have recently enquired about a couple of buells for sale on here and one has sold and another is generating quite a lot of interest. They do seem to be selling and for a 'normal' value.

The X1/S1's are bargains because as we know that owners often spent a fortune on them and don't get it back and because they hold their value  The Ulys on here, and on auto trader, seem to be holding their value too.
