Fitted Albert to my X1 last year (al actually fitted it) and never looked back it not only looks the dogs it growls like one! Also more horses!

Nice. 8-) Thanks for posting the picture. I'm assuming they're stainless, so will polish up? Are they equal length?

Yes they are s/s thinking of getting them polished but not sure where to go! You need to talk to Albert about dimensions.

It's not hard to do it yourself. Cloth wheel and a polishing bar. JD!
I did the CCM one posted on "How many on here own a Buell" thread on a bench grinder with a cloth wheel on it. ;)

Cloth wheel and polishing bar? that sounds like double dutch to me can you enlighten me further. Ccm looks great so you must be doing it wright.

Cloth buffing wheel, and a polishing bar which looks like a bar of soap. It's hard, and you apply it to the edge of the wheel to polish the metal.
I have pictures, but for some reason I have problems loading them on this site.

Ah, there we go! here's the polishing bar, or rouge. There's different grades.

Getting heat into the workpiece is the key when polishing. Buy a bench grinder and 'pig tails' fot the mops and it's much easier than using a drill. Be careful when using a coarse soap on a sisal mop, it will eat at the metal very quickly.
.........and wear a facemask, or your snot will be black for days lOl
