Hello all

New XB9 owner here....delighted with my purchase but one minor snag.....I can't get the seat off.

The key turns a little (20 degrees or so) but the seat won't budge.

I've tried the usual sitting on it, moving it about.

Deffo the correct key but it feels like the lever just won't move far enough.

Is there something I can do?

To check its released get someone to turn key while you get fingers under the rear and pull up while hitting seat backwards with palm of other hand. I know its awkward but mines a right pain to remove too :headbang:

A good smack with the palm of your hand on the seat will release the bracket at the front.

There is definitely a techinique to removing the seat. As they have said, you need to hit the seat and jerk it backwards. Once the key has been turned then it is all about the technique of sliding the seat backwards before trying to lift it up. Same routine, but in reverse when putting it back on. Once you have done it a couple of times then you will find it easier.....honest!! :yup:

Well that was simple enough.......Mrs Danoir turned the key and I gave it a tug.....job done.

There's not much room under the seat is there?
