I stayed away from this - but the PM leads to a reply:-
I sold this after spending stupid amounts of money in a three year period - the 3.5K at Maz's was only part of that (and was a great job)
I advertised it around 1 year ago - and the response astonished me - as did some of the offers :o but I just couldn't do it
Then my personal circumstances changed so I sold it because someone who worked hard of the site really wanted it and was a real enthusiast. For a variety of reasons, at a bargain price.

The mark up it is now being sold on for leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Maybe I'm in the wrong here - but it doesn't feel right.

The owner of any bike obviously has the right to sell it for what he can get it for
Hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did

Thought you might get a few PM's from some people to stir the pot

You are correct, I got it for a bargain price ... very grateful for that. I dont really feel I need to justify what I do with my bike, or explain to others on this forum what price I decide to sell it for.

As it happens I haven't sold it ... I have swapped it :)

Ah ok! - But I replied in private :)

More importantly I hope the new owner of the Buell will enjoy it, I couldn't possibly do it justice. It deserves a decent home and its getting one.

You know nothing about me or my knowledge of Buells, as I know nothing about you or your knowledge. When you make a public assumption that you know more than me you are making a wanker out of yourself.

I quite agree Q, thanks again for all the support both Dan and I have received from everyone. We each get our new bikes on Wednesday :yup:
