I recently swapped to US gearing but the speedo healer I fitted isn't correcting enough. Considering fitting a secondhand US speedo. Would one from a 1999 spec injected X1 work on my 2002 carbed M2? Don't want to drop cash on one only to find it's a non starter.

:? - GT - the Corrector from Twin claims a 50% adjustment and the ratio difference between full UK and full US Gearing is just under 20% - so I was thinking of buying this model - can I ask why is yours not working ? -

It seemed to correct ok for 1/2 spec gearing, but I'm struggling to get it to do more than that. It's possible mine is faulty or I'm adjusting it the wrong way. Like a numpty I mislaid the instructions for the twins unit :oooops: I'll contact the guys in Holland for advice.

I think I have one or two US speedos floating around.

Let me know if you want me to dig one out.

Cheers Pash will do. Do they both have electronic miles/trip display, and any idea what mileage reading they show?

I've just emailed the guys at Twins for some advice

Thanks for that info. I've checked against GPS and it reads 8-10mph high in top gear at 80-85mph indicated. Got a copy of the manual for Twins unit today in pdf. Anyone good at translating German? :?

I tried translating the manual on yahoo and failed

The fact that it's in PDF format didn't do me any favours :headbang:

Can any one assist?
