Hi,

I am trying to fit some Renthal bars to my 55 plate XB9SX, the problem I have is that the throttle cables do not seem to be long enough no matter how I route them.

Has anyone got experience of this or can offer some advice?

Any assistance appreciated :-)

From memory when I fitted new bars on the STT, I had to snip the cable ties holding all the cables together, then the bars fit ..

I've cut all cable ties and released all tension, still no avail.
The bars are renthal street bars which seem wider and lower than standard.

Take a little bit off each side of the bars

Call Nobby at Black Bear (mention UKBEG for a discount)

Or look for someone breaking a Uly on EBay (can't see anything)

Or make your own cables up, buy some bits (inner and outer and ferrules) from Venhill. You would be able to use the cable guides for the throttle assembly again from your current cables. Could even see if anyone has some broken cables you could use so you don't need to butcher yours (the parts you need are the same on any Buell cables from 1999 onwards).
