Could I use this set of complete S3 USD forks/yokes on my 2002 M2?

Would my existing wheel, spindle caliper and front caliper be compatible?

......but why would you want to ?......standard M2 forks are much better (and far cheaper to maintain) than USD items

I just find them a bit harsh and choppy to be honest. I've tweaked the preload or rebound damping adjuster, but it seems to make little difference. I had to have them rebuilt in March due to a blown seal, and was hoping that + fresh oil would help. Been spoilt riding Ducati's for 15 years with better spec showa or ohlins I guess

Suspect the rear shock is fooked too which probably isn't helping overall handling. Previous owner did a lot of 2 up riding so it had a hard life. Fiddling with compression/rebound adjusters also seems to have little end result. Whatever I do it still has a very soggy, wallowing back end, which in conjunction with the choppy front isn't exactly confidence inspiring. I'm going to flog another bike later this season to free up cash to sort the Buell properly.

I'll either be fitting an AST shock or maybe one of these

Front end option I was considering was a complete USD setup from one of the later 900 monsters, or superbikes using fully adjustable Showas and custom yokes. I fitted late 916 Showa forks to my 900ie dark monster and it was a big improvment. The 1.0kg/mm spring were a bit OTT for the aircooled 2V 900, but should work ok on Buell which has a similar kerb weight to watercooled 4V 916. The other bonus is this would give me Brembo Goldline brakes up front as well.

In itself worth it. As long as they're proper "Gold-Line" with iron discs.

Were the Ducati forks you swapped out of the Monster Marzoccis by any chance? If so, I agree they were a bit grim. The first thing I did to my Duc 1000 classic Sport, was bin the forks and fit 998 items - much better.
The top spec forks I have on my 1198 have been revalved and resprung twice to get them somewhere near useful, and I'm currently playing with oil levels in them. Aside from this, they also show a remarkable amount of stiction
In total contrast to this, the 'budget' Showas on my 1125, after a bit of fiddling with comp and rebound, are nigh on perfect for me
I'm not convinced by the current fashion for Ohlins in fact, my 1125 is a better handler than the 1198

No preload or damping adjustment at all
