Today's weather in that part of Lincolnshire could have been better (where have I heard that before

) but it's still been an enjoyable day with classic aircraft and a great atmosphere at East Kirkby.
Two Dakotas and one P-51 Mustang put on a superb flying display and WW2 re-enactors with 1940's American military vehicles provided demonstrations of period kit and weapons including mortars firing blanks - very effective and noisy.
This Dakota saw action on D-Day, 6th June 1944 and was involved in operation Market Garden, September 1944, over Arnhem:
