Eventually got a working battery for the x1....two duds delivered first.so i had my patience tested.....went for a ride ....just gettin that nirvana feeling..you know how it goes....this bike is just amazing etc...i will never sell it etc........tried to gear down after a great blast down the dual carraigeway, nothing there....looked down......no linkage....bastd. Limped home in top gear through the rush hour traffic ignoring red lights etc...went back to look for it (2miles of fast clearway) Nothing.

so please does anyone have a linkage for sale..just the rod/ rosejoint section..I can get one made up but i liked the standard one.


the part is now obselete in the harley dealership.

Up and over or 2001/2002 updated one?

It was the updated one.

Check EBay.com, I got a brand new old stock one for about £15 delivered a few months back. Think they had a dozen or so...
