Each to their own,but i much prefer Oberon levers to the stock ones

I wanted to change the levers on mine to get a shorter reach and better feel so went on eBay as you do. Weirdly found a chap about 2 miles from mine who sells loads of levers for all makes and models all imported from the far east. I arranged to meet him at his house so I could check the quality before purchasing and also make sure of the correct fitment. Really nice bloke and the levers were top notch, cnc'd from billet aluminium, anodised and with adjustable reach. Think he charged me about £45 for the pair which is a bargain compared to the likes of pazzo etc. Had the levers on for about 12 months and still look as good as new.

I bought some chinese ones off ebay for the X1 ...about £45 for the pair and they are adjustable for blade length reach and also fold up

Actually I agree though. I do have shorties on the R3 - Got them on E-Bay from a Chinese guy - but because I have deformed little fingers. These basically cant reach the OEM levers and have even been trapped behind them.

Problem is that the shorties are officially an MoT fail here. If this is a problem in the UK - I'd look at the adjustable length sort .

Its not an mot fail in the uk, I just find them terribly uncomfortable, I don't have a problem with small hands as mine are like pit shovels.

I don't have a problem with bling really either but only if it works and they don't for me, they do look cool though.

I reckon they do the same as the ones that came on the bike when it was first purchased.

I don`t look at my levers when I am on the bike and don`t notice them when I am looking at it.

They operate the clutch and brake respectively, so are functional.

If I wanted bling, I would buy a hardley

Put the money in the tank and really enjoy it

I don't like aftermarket CRG types cos they are too square, not as smoothly curved as the stock ones and uncomfortable on my hands.

The adjustable clutch lever is a bit of a joke cos you get the same effect by loosening the cable and you need a certain amount of pull so you can get the bike in neutral when you stop anyway.

Amazingly, they are not made to the same standard as OEM levers, that have a bush to combat wear on the bearing surface on the pivot.

Shorties, what's all that about? Ok if you don't want to break your levers if your bike falls over, but I don't know where to put my last two fingers when I am pulling them, they just hang in the breeze vibrating...
