I got a price from DG20 and got a quote of around the £800 mark just to supply, so for £250 that's not a bad price for a new can. I offered £180 and it was accepted so I am happy with that for now. Trying to keep the bike as stock as I can to keep my insurance down and resell value up. Only mod I have made to date is the belt tensioner.

I trust they'll come with a four-day guarantee against rotting away to dust ...

Or at least a Biodegradable sticker...

Surely the insurance company understands if you have a stainless steel replacement muffler... Would hate to think I would have to declare a Kwik Fit back box on my missus' car...

Nope.. sorry.. gonna have to do it....

- Second-hand (as good as new) OEM exhausts can be had on eBay for under £100
- They're shit anyway - they WILL rust/rot, regardless of how it's been coated
- A stainless exhaust is better quality/looking/sounding
- Many (most?) Buell owners replace the stock silencer anyway
- Insurance ain't much more (mine was maybe £20/year extra)
- £800 for a new OEM Buell exhaust is simply robbery

No disrespect to you fella, but it makes no sense to spend big money on a Buell OEM silencer.

(But forums being forums, that's just my opinion )

In fact, come to think of it, I even have a 1998 M2 OEM can sitting in a shed in the UK, does anyone want it
