Am considering buying a second-hand Uly with 15,000 miles on it - what should have been done with that kind of mileage apart from normal servicing?

Looks like a nice bike, one owner, just want to know if there's anything specific I need to find out?

Sorry - I didn't think it was such a stupid question?

I thought £4k for a Uly with 15,000 miles, full luggage and a new Remus was a bad buy, but just wanted some helpful opinion

So apart from bearings (wheels and headstock) nothing else out of the ordinary that 'goes' around that mark then.

Thanks Whichway

Uly with 15,000m - what to look for?

One with less miles and less 'extras'

Why?

A 15000 mile Uly that has been regularly cared for (bearings etc) should be fine...

Take it for a test ride....You'll love it.

Ignore Spook....He's as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike ;)

Your better off listening to Neil, he's got a Ully and knows what he's talking about.

i recently bought my Uly with 10k miles and it runs sweet...
as long as its been looked after - i dont see any issues with 15k miles...

i ran a recent poll on the us badweather forum and these guys have got some high miles on Uly's and they seem to go very strong...highest mileage i think was 93k.

go on, buy it...
its half price from new and will give you a permanent grin...

Lars
(06er Uly)

Check out the Nallin site about the inadequacies of the XB drive side main bearing. I don't know enough about engines to argue with his conclusions.
