I recently purchased an AST shock from Pash and I'm looking for the clamp that attaches the rear shock remote reservoir. I have an S1 Lightning (1998). Anybody got a spare clamp ? The bike came to me with a Lorenz shock which doesn't have a reservoir, and no clamp.

In the post today 1st class...

The clamp is no longer available from HD so treat it with love.

I also enclosed the jubilee clip and rubber bung that are used to fit the standard reservoir. I think some people use these bits for fitting the AST reservoir with short hose (which you have). I don't use them myself.

May be worth asking for installation photos from those with an AST (Adam and kevmean spring to mind) and also to have some fail safe system, even if it is just a cable tie between the shock hose and the oil pump outlet as my original reservoir clamp broke (with Onanist on board) and the reservoir bounced along the road.

Cheers

Nick

Thanks once again, I'll do as you suggest. The cable tie is certainly a sound idea.

The package arrived this morning, all present and correct. As you've declined any payment I'll make a donation to the running of the site.

Cheers

I've done a search for the reservoir clamp. The clamp is still available and is manufactured by 'Five Star mfg' in Crest Hill, Illinois. It's classed as a T-Bolt Band clamp, Serial number 200-60. It may be possible to order these individually or as a small batch. I thought this information might be useful.
