My 2p worth... It has a high mileage and is a bit scruffy. Newer, cleaner ones with half the mileage and of more desireable colours have been going for around £2700. eBay will tell you what people will pay, valuations from this thread made by people that do not have any intention of buying the bike and owners who would like to see the values soar will only serve to disappoint.

My bet is that you will get closer to 2 than 2.5k.

Lets see what this 20k miler fetches then shall we? :eat:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-Buell-X1 ... 3cc74146e9

It does look a bit cleaner than the OP's bike though. (No offence intended to the OP)

Personally I'm not bothered if values soar or not. I bought mine with toy money, and I have no need to sell it.
I don't know where these 2 grand bikes are on e-bay though, I couldn't find one when I was looking, and I've yet to see one. :?

It is also a more desirable colour.

Black ones are nicer :D but it will only take two people looking for Buell when you list it on eBay if there are no others listed and the price will rocket. It's all about timing.
Good luck with your sale OP but I would take the time before your restriction ends and clean the bike up ready for yourself.

Well, colour is an emotive subject isn't it.
I'm not keen on white bikes, but it doesn't mean they have less market value.
I couldn't live with that yellow seat though! lOl

Seems to me that yellow is increasing massively in popularity these days looking at the amount of Dayglo worn by motorcyclists . Imagine your local 1% club wearing the stuff . Should be done for impersonating police officers .
