 Post subject: Susuki 650 Vstrom

Hired one of these while our in mallorca and did 300k on it through some awesome mountain roads and a few off road bits.
Talk about boring, the bike that is, sounded like a cement mixer on tickover :roll: wasn't great off road and felt like I was fighting it everywhere, arms , shoulders and back really ached. Have done twice the distance flat out on the S1wl and apart from being deaf and feeling like every sense had been totally assaulted felt pretty fresh.
It was comfier for the mrs though and the engine was very flexible and it did everything I asked of it all be it boringly.
Thank fuck for buells they make biking fun. :yup:
It never ceases to amaze me how good a chassis the 14yr old buell as got even when compared to modern crotch rockets like R1 and Blade which I've been riding a lot of lately.

eric is a genius especially when it comes to tubers, every bike i ride now never feels as good as the x1, they may not have the legs of plastic fantastics but they have real charm ,and you always get a one of these :D
