Keep those keys safe people !

As I'd heard nothing from Warrs about the key I ordered I gave them a call - they reckon it can take 4 to 6 weeks for HDB to supply a key ...  :o :(

Have you contacted them to confirm if they actually posted them to you ?

Yep, I got in touch with the seller - said if nothing turned up within another week then he would send out replacements. That was last Monday, if nothing turns up this monday then they will be getting another email ...

... although I will also be ordering a key from Nick's link - but I've left the key code at work ... :headbang:

Tube key (radial pin tumbler key) or wafer key?
Put your location in to the MLA find a locksmith directory at http://www.locksmiths.co.uk/
These are all qualified master locksmiths and the web site should tell you who is nearest and give them a bell. Should be able to sort while you wait. If its a RPT key, general locksmith will cut keys but if its wafer, use an auto specialist (unless you have the blank) :yup:

Is this a common problem?

Reason I ask is that my fuelk cap lock appears to be quite stiff and I'm concerned about the amount of force needed to turn the key. Perhaps a visit to Mr WD40 is in order or am I missing something?

Jon

Oops ! :oooops:

Forgot to say that I got my keys from HDB after 3 weeks - and you get a pair, so it wasn't quite so bad after all !

Ironically, as I was passing a key cutter's in Watford I went in and enquired if they could match mine, 5 minutes and £6 later I came out with another spare.

When I bought my first Buell, nobody in my local area could cut a Buell key - or so they said ...

... including the shop that I just got one from ! :?

Although I didn't visit every locksmith in the area, some I only rang, just goes to show - nobody knows what a Buell is !
