i was fairly shocked! had to go back to get the vent from the helmet but no pigeon! it was going to get a nice drop kick into the hedge!

do you reckon the helmet would be ok- its getting on 10yrs now. is there a lifespan on these things? (brake pads ordered!)

Yes, there is a lifespan on lids depending on construction 3 - 5 years.

Yours was past its use by date 5 years before you hit the pigeon. ;)

If its spent most of the last ten years in a cool dark room it might have been alright before you committed murder.

In the circumstances, I think most juries would accept a plea of 'assisted suicide'.

so when Adam puts his helmet in the fridge before a ride on a warm day he is extending the service life of his helmet

Cos you have fitted an EBC Pro-Lite and they are a slightly bigger diameter than the Buell disc?

......and the 'ears' on the 249's are slightly smaller than the OEM pad.......EBC have now sorted this with a new pad and number (which I cant remember :oooops: )........you can grind reliefs in the pad spring so it clears the disc.
