Possibly: failing to turn up at the right place at the right time does nothing for your chances in the sack race. Don't ask me how I know but I can now navigate my way around most of the British Isles without recourse to a map.

Sadly, with the arrival of the Zumo 660, the 550 has been largely discredited amongst the ladies of this parish.

still it's a handy technology to have.

In olden days we had it tough, we used to have to fold relevant page of map into transparent pocket on tankbag and stick list of directions to windscreen with with masking tape. [and we never here we'd be here today drinking chateau de chassole]
