Chaps,

I'm looking for any alternative suggestions to the extortionately priced force winder. I want to remove all the hideous plastic from under the fuel tank/air box on my 2001 X1, and fit a much sleeker looking air intake system to expose my engine a tad more, them trim up the tank cover/frame interface.
I found these trims on Ebay :-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130619464568? ... 1423.l2649

Now £79.99 (+£25.00 P&P) v £280 from a similar item from a well known UK parts stockist is a hell of a saving, but in the name of 'you get what you pay for', has anyone used these trims before, if so, are they any good?

Thanks, Bob.

I fitted tank accents to my old X1, bought them from Trojan Horse, really transformed it, then bought a second hand chrome hyper charger, fixed the flaps open and drilled a hole for the sensor, worked a treat!

But carbon accents with a carbon tank cover could look crap if it is a different type of weave ;)
