The food is good a Sammys and I find the venue kind of chilled out! 8-)

should also be time for most of us to get back for the Indy MotoGP at 6:30 for a 7pm flag drop! ;)

Just hope the rain stays westward. :?

And after not having been to a Buell meet since the last Cabin Fever, straight after Brizzle was this.

It was great to see 8 Buells arrive, top draw.

And my steering head bearings are so fecked you wouldn't believe it.

:sun:

I thought it was 9 Buells...

Great to see everyone, including 851 with whom I did the old swap bikes thing... Special thanks to Onanist for riding down with me...

Pictures later...

I had a burn up with an SP-2 on the way home, I wanted to see how much faster it was than the Firebolt (and it would be lots I would think), but after chasing me down to the Granada Services roundabout, I showed him a clean set of heels on the triple apex on the first exit and he gave up  . There was a long straight afterwards for him to get the power down...

Lovely to meet up with you all today..... After leaving Sammy Millers Museum, I did ride out in the direction of the Popham Airfield, but by the time I worked out where it actually was, it was 3.30 and I had seen loads of bikes riding away, so guessed that most of the fun was over... :(

Must have done about 170 miles by the time I arrived back home....great fun, although a bit hotter than I expected when held up in traffic!! Toasted legs... lOl

See you all again very soon. :yup: :4roz:

Look at this line-up...

Someone also turned up on a Jap import RC30 (black mirrors) with an NC30 seat (pillion perch) on it...

You is a bad boy pash! lOl

Sammy's is always nice in the sun, in the courtyard meeting other Buellers old and new. 8-)

I was bad as well, eating a roast dinner and then strawberry tart with ice cream.

It was a relief when the temp dropped a bit on the ride home though...bike ran a bit smoother! ;) Interesting inlet stub on Riders newest Stealth, a bit like my posts? ;)

A Great meet all round! :yup: Must do another S-SW meet up one fine week-end before Autumn.

Glad you all had a good day .................... shame that meet has died off a bit though ... i think the first time i went I was the first person there after a 250mile ride lOl the locals arrived about an hour later but there was about 25 in just one group from DG20.
I took Harry up to Elvington to watch the world wheely speed competition as one of my local bike friends was riding ...................... he came second again as he did last year clocking an impressive 168mph on one wheel for a full kilometer :yup: this was riding a borrowed BMW 1000RR , the winner Egbert van Popta clocked over 170mph on an old but highly tuned turboed slabside GSX1100 Suzuki.

The return from Sammy's presented another rare demonstration of the animal herding qualities of the Buell motorcycle. On a detour through the forest we came across a longish traffic jam caused by highland cattle of all things, taking a very slow walk in the road (cos they can!). lOl The cars were being typically useless so we jumped que and started riding slowly alongside the beasts, at a safe distance from those fearsome looking horns! :?

It was not that the cattle showed much fear, but they didn't much like being close to a posse of rumbling open piped XB's and promptly stepped back onto the grass. Job done!.......YEEHHAAA! lOl
