Many things go wrong with many bikes. Having put close to 30,000 miles on mine (first MOT is due in October), I'd say it has had no more problems than the Bandit 1200 I had for 36,000 miles, the Gaymona I had for 40,000 miles or the CB750 I put 20,000 miles on. I haven't had to replace the timing chain (Bandit), or the clutch including steels (CB750) or 3 speedo drives (Gaymona). Like my Daytona and Bandit I've had to change the head stock bearings, (admittedly twice rather rthan once). Like my YZF750, I've had to change my front disc and wheel bearings, (the Daytona also needed new dics when I sold it). Like my Daytona, very occasionally (3 times in 30,000 miles) I'll go to start it in the morning and find it has a flat battery. Belt life is similar to Chain life on my Bandit 12 but only half the chain life of the Daytona.
I have the 1125 serviced at a main dealer, and the service costs and intervals are comparable with the Triumph.
