Dirty hands???

Yeah, everyone knows this already, apart from all the people that come to visit me and end up doing messy stuff... :ill:

Use washing up liquid / hand washing liquid stuff and as you are rubbing it in prior to mixing it up with water, pour a sachet of sugar in and you make your own lo-cost Tufanega...

Next time you go to a cafe, fill your pockets and keep the sugar sachets close buy the kitchen sink...

I only use 6082 T6 now because of the disasters I've had anodising other grades, only exception are Buell mounts.

I destuction tsted one once and it was unbelievable what it took to break

I love the tdr one, its fired me up and I've loads of new ideas now and a 3d machining package so the skys the limit, lol

Lovely work the TDR ones are a work of art. Are you running the original M2 forks and hence have left the same amount of metal on the yolks as Buell do? X1 forks for the future maybe?

They will actually be for an x1, I'll say no more than that but originally they were for my M1 but I don't get to keep much, lol.

I've done loads of yokes for X1's etc and 1125R to fit handlebars and to fit an R1 front end, strangly never done anything for an XB.

I had to post this because I think its cool.
I gave one of the old boys that work for me this part and a load of other tricky stuff to do, he only works 3 days a week now so I save all the shite for him.

Anyway, he made this today from a block of steel, no cnc's where involved, infact no rotary table or anything, the inside part has been made separately and brazed in, I think its ace, how do you replace someone who can do that, in a couple of hours too.

nice to hear that the old guy can plod on , and do a bit , rather than being thrown on the scrapeheap at 65 .
one thing some people fail to realise is the value of decades of experiance and the can do attitude, in my view priceless :worthy: :yup:

tricky stuff or shite can be more interesting than batch runs, keeps the old grey matter working :D
