Of possible interest to UKBEG members is the Honnington Italian Car & Bike Day on Sunday 2nd September.

This event raises funds for the Kent Air Ambulance Service and is a fun day out for all Italian car & bike nuts. There will be lots of activities, displays and trade stands.

We've registered for this event and will be making an exhibition of ourselves in the Moto Guzzi section. We also have accommodation booked nearby on the Saturday night.

Get a grip Nick - I haven't 'left' Buell, I still have the S1 and Ulysses. I stated towards the end of last year that we were doing more Guzzi/Italian events etc. in 2012. I've owned Guzzis since October 1999, and Buells since May 1997, I'm equally passionate about both brands.

My S1 completed the JoGLE didn't it? - the only faults being the leaky rear shock and loose rear bulb which I fixed en-route.

Fingers crossed, the weather's looking pretty good for this event. We should be at Honnington from around 9.00/9.30 am on Sunday, with the car and bike event starting at 10.00 am and running until late afternoon.

We enjoyed our weekend in Kent, covering 528 miles on totally dry roads ... It made a pleasant change to arrive home and not have to get the bucket and sponge out.....

Honnington was a good show, if a little short on motorcycles. There was plenty of room to make an exhibition of ourselves along with 11 others. We got to talk to lots of people including a Buell owner (Paul) who was there with his family - I pointed him in the direction of ukbeg.com.

We also met Adam Bolton who started a magazine titled Italian Motor a couple of years ago. Its not available through normal outlets or widely advertised so we didn't know of the magazines existence, but now we do we'll be buying every future issue. Numbers 1 to 4 are real gems.
