I'm slow. Been working on the rear brake set up since January.
You really don't want me to start a bike thread!

Pash- I fully discussed with Tony, when I took tank, the rubber gasket and plates- both types for rear mount with me, and this was not deemed to be an issue.

Might be useful if people indicate whether they are truly committed to this proposal, so those requiring a replacement and would like to see it made in the very near future will see if this is going to materialize or is just a pipe dream in the making.

Please remember HoltWorks require a £400.00 deposit, so here goes.

1. whitey manta x 2

Just for completeness, text on the tank shrinkage issue:

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/m ... 16267.html

May be worth comparing the sample tank dimensions to some in use

However I am sure it is all in hand and we are primed for success :coat:

Hi Andy
I am sorry if I have not replied to you, I thought I had replied to all the e-mails I have received. I will check through them again & will reply personally.
Thank you for your interest.
We have had 1 drop out due to price, others seem still on board.
Thanks for all of your thoughts very interesting re tank shrinkage etc we will ensure this is checked before tooling is made (hoping we get this off the ground), and thanks to those who are helping us with this project.
Regards
Michelle

I've contacted them and said that a small tank is on my wish list. Think that I'd like a better fuel tap than the Buell item on an ally tank - one that screws into a boss (Pingel?), anyone got experience on that idea?

Hi
Just wanted to update you on the Tanks

We are up to 9 for the Manta tank and 3-4 for the smaller tank.

We have now received the smaller tank which has been priced at £625 plus cap and £25 for polishing.
We will need to get more orders for this tank before we go ahead and tool.

With regards to the issue of shrinkage that had been discussed, James (Whitey) kindly drove 100 miles on saturday to bring us his bike and try on the tank. It fitted well and there was no sign of shrinkage and the tank had not been on the bike for some time. Luckily the smaller tank had arrived so this was tried on James' bike and again fitted well.

Please see the attached photos - not sure if they are of use but this is how the smaller tank fitted to James' bike.

Please let me know if you have any questions
Thanks
Michelle
