Hi All,

I know that this is a topic that has been discussed in the past, however I thought I'd re-explore the options of remapping the DDI-3 ECM. Previous posts talk about being able to remap this ecm making the bike a lot more rideable, however this is short lived as the ECM will automatically reset itself after x number of ignition (key) cycles.

Has this changed and if so has anyone come up with a solution for this?

I'd like to put a k&n filter on and possibly mod the exhaust can but don't want to lose any of the ride ability ... As well as sort out some of the low down surging.

Who told you that? That's not true.

My fault for not having a DDFI3 bike to show you how easy it is to play...

I think you are referring for the store errors. If the fault doesn´t appear after 50 cycles the ECM reset the stored error, but not the whole ECM ;)

Mmmmmm sounds like I am sorely mistaken. If anyone knows about programming this ECU it will be Gunter or Pash ;0)

The whole reason I never invested in the cable and ECMSpy was because of what I was told ;)

So guys, answer me this ..

Current issues ....

Bike pops excessively (not an issue but a pain in the backside)
Low speed surging (again not an issue but would be nice to smooth it out slightly)

Possible future mods ....

K&n filter
Albert exhaust

Questions ....

Will new mappings sort out or improve the above issues?
Will I be able to set the bike up once a new filter and exhaust have been fitted?

Does a TPS reset help?

Thanks Pash, seems that you and Gunter have got loads on remapping so will call on you when the time comes. On the whole TPS thing On DDFI-3 , is that ignition on , full twist of the throttle 3 times (with ascend interval on each twist) and then ignition off?
