 Post subject: firing on one

i am thinking that a plug has gone down.
i was away the weekend camping on the way home the uly started to miss and fire on one above 3000revs
theres no lights showing so is it a plug???

Possibly a plug lead chafed through ;) run it in the dark and have a look for any signs of escaping sparks ;)

if you are really brave, run it up and try rubbing you hands along the plug leads, you will know if you got a short :o

The front plug lead normally chaffs on the idle adjuster...

lol. I forgot to say that this happened to me with about 5k miles done. Bought Magnecor leads from www.sparkplugs.co.uk. cable tie them so they don't rub on frame or idle adjuster.

thanks for that i have magnecor leads on my Dyna , just ordered new ones for the uly.

i didnt say last week when it started to miss i rode through 14ins of flood water for about 1/2 a mile

and got several soaking from cars going to fast into the water.
