Glad you're home ok. I received a phone call from the recovery guy just after we were on the motorway, so unable to pass him to you. I told him you were waiting in the foyer of the NMM and tried to ring you, but phone still not working. Sent a text and also tried Kevmean and CJ's phones, Kev had also left and no reply from CJ. Hope you didn't have to wait around too long for him. :4roz:

Things worked out fine Jill, CJ hung around to help load the bike in the hissing rain. I had a good laugh and a joke with the recovery guy on the ride home, he even stopped to let me buy a few beers for when I got home....left mine with a full flask of hot tea. :yup: :yup:

Thanks to all 22 of you who attended Cabin Fever 2012 and a huge :worthy: to Dean, Paul and Richie who braved the torrential rain on two-wheels.

I think we can safely say today was one of the wettest ever Cabin Fever meets but Jane and I certainly enjoyed the day and we hope you did too despite the weather.

There's a Buell somewhere in this picture ....

Dean's S1 with just 304 miles on the clock.....

Richie's well and truly soaked Buell - glad you got back home safely....

Just a few of the 800 British motorcycles in 5 halls and well worth a visit...

Do you mean pain of maintenance or sore arse from that seat? Not as comfy as me old X1 I have to say.
Just as a matter of confirmation it is a carbon black white lightning?

Water in the LT side of the coil was an easy fix, starter clutch failure was bad luck I think, but thats the second time in 6k miles....am I missing something mate.

I think your S1W is a Carbon Black with a Titanium frame

Pash is right with model code and colours but it is an S1W Lightning Strike as opposed to an S1W White Lightning because, as we all know, those are all white lOl

I forgot to mention what a pleasure it was to meet John Siddons, what a nice man and very interesting to talk to. John was like a kid in a sweet shop having never been to the National Motorcycle Museum before.

John owns a 1955 Moto Guzzi Cardellino and coincidentally his Guzzi will be at the Newark show that we're going to next Sunday. See this topic for details.

Thanks CJ for putting photos on. Always take a camera and never use it.
As I said before, lovely to meet you all and hopefully be able to get to few meets this year but all my time is going to taken up getting X1 ready for next few months at least.

Check voes operation and make sure its purple/white wire hasn't gone to earth on its way to the ignition module.
Also check ignition timing.
Are you fitting genuine sprag clutches or cheap pattern jobbies ?
